Broadband over power lines (BPL)
delivers broadband Internet connections to your home or
office just like cable, DSL and WiMAX. The
difference is that BPL brings the Internet connection
over a municipalities' utility power lines. Using
BPL, municipalities now have ways of leveraging their
power grid in ways previously unheard of. In
addition to providing high-speed Internet, BPL
technology also enables utilities to lower costs, offer
new services and create new sources of revenue.
Broadband Horizons is the first company in Texas, and
one of a handful in the nation, to successfully launch
broadband Internet service over power lines, a
technology commonly referred to as BPL. Today,
Broadband Horizons is a leading provider of BPL and
other wireless technology services to small and
medium-sized municipalities throughout the United
States.
